Two hearts, one sleeve
“You’re just kissing in front of a camera”. Well, you’re right.
But we’re also sharing a story. We’re sharing our story.
Brandon and Mimi.
Like two notes ringing together on different parts of a piano, our names feel like a harmonious moment in time. The kind of harmony that blends together like the hues of orange and pink when golden hour starts joining into the horizon. It’s a harmony that rings true and sweet, a song that plays in our minds like the perfect blend of matcha, diligently stirred into something pure and magical.
If we could answer one question about the reality of “branding” our relationship, is that we are ourselves through and through. We keep this whole modeling business very simple—it is an expression of our love to others. With hopes to inspire and create something meaningful that we know will last a lifetime. We want to show other couples, photographers, friends, and even our “haters”, that we’ve beat every single odd in front of us and will always stand tall—hand-in-hand—shouting and showing our love for everyone to not just see but feel and maybe relate.
So yes, we are kissing in front of the camera, but with every click and developed film you pick up with our lips on one another, you are holding our whole world: our whole childhood, our traumas, our struggles that we’ve worked through together, and our unfailing love that we’ve nurtured the past 7 years. We are a real couple with real feelings, and sharing our relationship, as pure as most portray it to be, doesn’t make us immune to hurt. It doesn’t make us immune to disrespect. It doesn’t make us immune to deception and it doesn’t make us immune to manipulation (but that’s for another blog post). But no matter what, we will always use our voice and words to share our hearts.
We want to spread and show love. To share our hearts with you as you already know—through digital photographs and stills in time, but now also through our words.
We want to be real.
We love what we do, and we have created a sense of family, community, and creative energy within ourselves and the people we’ve met along the way that will forever change our lives, for better or worse. As we begin this next chapter, we encourage you to keep an open mind and lean towards the love that we want to install into this world. We would love to show how we went from lovers to writers.
- lovers, two writers who share their hearts on one sleeve.
